Why Patient Stories Matter to CHARMER

At its heart, the CHARMER project is about people, not just data. Our research aims to make it routine during hospital stays to discuss stopping medicines that are no longer useful or may be harmful, helping older people live better, longer lives.

Data can show that CHARMER works. To help hospitals improve care, we need real-life stories. When we speak to journalists and policymakers, your experiences are what will truly make them listen.

We are looking for people to have their stories highlighted. We need two types of experiences:

The Positive Changes

Did a member of the hospital team safely stop a medicine, making a real difference to your health and wellbeing? We want to highlight these success stories to show the positive difference great care can make.

The Missed Opportunities

Did you or a loved one leave hospital still taking a medicine that you think should have been stopped? If a missed chance to stop medication affected your daily life, we need to show the world what happens when opportunities to stop medication are missed.

Be a part of the change

This is your opportunity to be part of a major campaign shaping the future of healthcare and we want to ensure the most powerful experiences are heard by decision-makers.
